Hi
I have the Sony cybershot dsc w50 which records movies in mpeg1 format. You can plug the camera into your tv and playback your movies on tv. I want to be able to convert avi files to the mpeg format that my camera plays. I tried using TMPGEnc and using the settings that files from my camera produced, analysed from gspot, but it didn't work, I got a file error when i try to play it on my camera. There must be something differant about the files the cybershot can play that is differant from normal mpegs created using programs like TMPGEnc.
I found a commercial program that works http://www.makayama.com/digitalcamera.html it copies video files to an mpeg that the cybershot can play. the trial version only lets you create movies up to five minutes. There must be some way that a free program like TMPGEnc can do it if only you knew the right settings.
thanks for you help
