  1. Hello,
Please, if anybody could point out an alternative 3.3V point (Other than the one posted) for the 75004 GH-041-34 EURO PAL PS-2 PCB.
I’m trying to install the Modbo 750 1.82 mod chip.

I just can’t stick the wire here!

Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Dunno offhand but this should help

You can clean the point of with an eraser or fiberglass pencil then use a dab of solder flux not plumbers flux then place a dab of solder on the wire then solder the wire to the point that should do it use a 15watt iron if possible

or you can take a multimeter and set it to continuity and listen for the beep or look for 0 ohms and probe the board any point that give s you continuity with the 3v point can be used to solder to

  3. What I found weird is that I measured the continuity of the bottom part of the standard 3.3V point (The one I posted) and it is connected to the Ground!
The top part (metal) however is too worn, and I can’t check the continuity to any other point, neither can I solder the wire on to it.

That point that you noted has 2 sides a 3.3v and a ground the ground point you noticed was probable the ground side of that point

Did you burn off one side of the SMD

  5. Yes, I burned off the top metal part of the original posted 3.3V point, but the component it self is intact.
Could any other problems arise from that now?
So, I'll need another alternative 3.3V point on the PCB.

However, after a closer inspection of the DMS4SE and the H2O diagrams, I noticed two alternative 3.3V points:

    DMS 3.3V point:

    H2O 3V point:

Also, I was told at another forum that the three smaller, brownish components above the 3.3v point I posted; the sides facing the 3.3v point also get 3.3v and can be used to find alternate 3.3v points.

But I can’t measure the continuity of these alternative 3.3V points, with the original posted 3.3V point, as the top metal part is burned off.

    So, any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  6. I used a multimeter and checked the continuity of these 3 yellow highlighted points

As well as the pad above J point on the DMS diagram, but they all connect to the ground!

The DMS diagram states this specific pad above the J point as 3.3V for the V14 GH-040-12 model. But, there is a chance that on my GH-041-34 model, this point is different. Could anybody check the continuity of this specific pad over J for the GH-041-34 model and verify if it actually connects to the original 3.3V A point.

As for the other H2O power source, I can’t check the continuity to the original 3.3V point since the top metal is worn off. But, I would imagine its only 3V, as The PS-2 boots and the mod chip menu can be accessed, but neither original nor copied games will work!
