I'm not able to access my yahoo mail account.
It times out trying to reach the server login.yahoo.com
I also get a bunch of lost packets pinging yahoo.com
It's been wishy-washy for about 2 weeks now. Sometimes pages load, sometimes not.
Now it's simply dead, not loading whatsoever.
Yahoo.com.au also will not load, stalls just like yahoo.com
But Yahoo.co.uk will load for me just fine. Go figure.
But that's the only site, the Yahoo's. Google, MSN, my sites, this site, etc ... all fine.

Your ISP likely has some routing issues if others are having again.

I'm haveing problems also. Sometimes I can get in and other times not. Been like that all morning.
-
Take that back I'm having issues also, I bet they are making some changes.

same problems here. It's a real pain. They could at least let you know somewhere that something is going on. I hope they fix compatibility issues with Firefox while they're at it.

Yup - Yahoo Mail is very flakey - since a copuple of weeks. Right now worse than ever - resorts to the "server problem" page more often than it works.

The problem is the yahoo login servers. Tracert indicates they can be reached and that there is no routing problem at my ISP or network delay.
This affects mail, messenger, my yahoo etc. If you last logged in with remember my ID on this system, you may be able to continue to use all services.
This is the first trouble I've had with yahoo for months. If you have had other recent problems they probably differ from this situation. -
I got in. All that effort, and I had nothing but automated notices for a service I use, and junkmail. It still goes up and down. Luckily, I only use the account a few times a month.
Did you know that service like gmail and yahoo lose about 5-10% of inbound e-mail every month? I don't know what the average loss is for other ISPs or hosted servers, but that sounds pretty crappy.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Yep, they are back up.
I don't buy those figures for lost email. Any missing email I've had has been in my bulk folder. Adding the send to my address book has prevented recurrence.
What I do know is yahoo has suspended spammers using their service within 1 day of my forwarding spam email, and gmail makes it a hassle to report their spammers. -
My brother-in-law has just figured out Yahoo's very lame email and is reluctant to change to a new account I set up that would blow his away. He just doesn't get it that he's probably lost tons of biz using jhy1012006@yahoo.com for an address so I've stopped trying.</rant>

Customers with @yahoo? Fine.
A business with @yahoo? Hell no, not even a second thought. Get a domain if you want to do business online.
Reminds me of those people who apply for jobs using an e-mail address like fluffysexkitten@aol.com.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Yep! My email was down, but they must have just fixed it. It's OK now.

There is no major problems with Yahoo mail and Firefox. There are certain little things such as not being able to right click and paste into the message. You have to push ctrl+V instead. And sometimes there are error messages I've seen in yahoo when trying to get in that only occur in FF. these have been discussed on mozillazine and seem to actually be related to a file used by yahoo messenger that it uses to check your email count.
