The university I work for has a bunch of video masters on one inch tape. Our one inch machine has stopped working and I'm thinking our best bet is to have a service transfer the tapes to DVD. Can anyone recommend a service for this?

Some local TV stations have 1" machines in service. Maybe they can help.

very rare one inch VTR Tape machine, basically you will spend big money because this has been obsolete for years. Even Video transfer Company like myself don't do those. Best Bet to go to A OLD TELEVISION STATION who still uses 3/4", etc. they made have a hook up with others or find one off of Ebay. Do the transfer yourself. Those old 1 inch hard to find & in good condition. But if you do find one just get BNC Connector RCA Adapters easy as that. Good Luck......

Try another College or Trade School. Bates Vocational in Tacoma WA was the last place I saw / used 1". http://www.archive.org/iathreads/forums.php might also be a good place to ask.

Ask for Doug - he'll take care of you and do it right!
