How do i cut the video up in smaller mpg's?

cut, copy, past and delete in my Quicktime are not highlighted like in other mpg's i have. Normally i cut them up into smaller mpg's this way.

You can set in/out points in MPEG Streamclip and use cut/copy/paste.

I seen that but didnt understand how it exactly works, i ended up doing everything wrong. Is there an online how-to do this exactly anywhere?

I have 1 long mpg like 768mb, it has about 8 different videos in it. When i tried to edit it with MPEG StreamClip i was deleteing things i didnt want to.

With quicktime i can cut and paste in different players.

You can set the in / out points of the file you want to save, and then choose one of the options in the file menu, such as "convert to MPEG." This will create a file using just the section delineated by the in / out points.

Hint: 1. Use the "i" and "o" keys to set the in / out.
    2. Use the zoom to expand the timeline
    3. Always use "Fix Timecode Breaks" with vobs

Ok i figured it out. It has to be exported to Quicktime and then i can cut and past very easy.
