    Hi
    I have a cheap thermostar decoder. this is sitting in my lounge. i want to watch the channels on my decoder in my room so i connected a wireless AV however is there anyway to control the decoder from my room. because i cant change channels. my cable provider suggested my to buy another decoder but this is going to cost alot so are there any alternatives/?

    The only other way is to setup mirror's to bounce the remote signal out to other box ... you might even get away with using optical cable to carry the signal ... been here before ... and it wasnt cheap ... but it's permanent .
