  1. Ok, I have a lot of DVD-Rips (Divx's), and I am going to convert them to SVCD with CCE, mainly because svcd is better quality then vcd, and i want as close to dvd quality as I can, but my question is if the movie is let's say lik 1 hour 45 minutes, how much of the movie can I fit on one SVCD? and also how many cd's will the movie take..

Excuse me, but from a DivX source you will hardly get "close to dvd quality". Chose a video bitrate as high as possible to get a decent SVCD quality. Then you will fit about 40 minutes on a CD.

  3. At first . If U have just DivX sources, Your SVCD wont be a better quality . Try encode SVCD fro DVD . Not DivX

I have converted DIVX to SVCD with good results. I know its not the way to go, but I have a few movies in DIVX as I don't have access to the dvd's any more.

  5. et tu, truman? i think people been watching to many 300 kb/s divx streams and judging things by that. do a dvd rip on your own and give the divx enough bitrate and it wont even want to drop to svcd
