What you want to do may be more complex than you think. Try having a read of this -> http://mediachance.com/dvdlab/tutorial/amanager.html

It doesn't do what you want, but shows you some of the work involved.

I strongly suggest you post this query at the Mediachance forums -> http://www.mmbforums.com/

The author and many hardcore users hang out there, and will be able to give you better advice than you are likely to get here.

    /edit - some time later

s'funny how things come to you when you come back to a problem.

I don't have DLP in front of me at the moment, so excuse me if I am not 100% accurate. You should be able to set the subtitle button to select the sub of your choice, then go to a given menu. Create a new menu page. Make it black, with a single black button. Make that button auto-activate to play your movie. Set the subtitle button you select the subtitle stream required, then to go to this menu. When you select the button you will get a very brief black screen while the menu auto-activates, then your movie will start.

From memory this should work, although you will have to try it to know for sure.

I would take the second approach, using the link to subtitle + go to next menu options. Put a button with auto-activate on it that then links to the movie.

  5. It is quite easy when you know how. I also wanted to make such buttons!
    Here it is:
    1) Author DVD with button linked to desired video (audio will set later)
    2) Open authored video in PGCEdit
    3) Select desired menu
    4) Press "MENU" button on toolbar (a green square)
    5) Select desired menu button
    6) Press edit
    7) Look for target program number on the large command button and press it
    8 ) Choose Alphabeticaly - SelectSTN
    9) Set desired audio, subtitle or angle options
    10) Select "And" checkbox
    11) Choose JumpPGN and set the target program number you remember
    12) If there is difficulty of choosing the number try different settings, save and test with software DVD player. The save in PGCEdit is instant and undoable!
    Cann't tell it's possible don't tell anything.
