Love convertxtodvd, great product, especially like the crude menu feature. But when I select multiple AVI files it converts them in the wrong order that they were selected. I tried adding two AVI file and selected them both one by one and also have tried selecting them together and they get encoded in the wrong order. The first avi file is listed first and it does say it is encoding the first file as soon as the converting starts but when I burn the DVD they are backwards. Anyone else have this problem? Please help I don't want to go back to monkey crap WinAvi, don't get me started on there latest version which crashes every time I try to encode the same files which work fine in Convertxtodvd, plus there buttons in their UI are not spelled correctly, pretty un-professional.

Are you using convertxtodvd or Divxtodvd ?

With convertxtodvd you can set the order before converting using the up and down arrows next to the list of avi files. just select one, and shift it up or down the list. Repeat with the others until they are in the order you want, then hit the convert button.

I believe the order issue is actually a windows selection problem, as many programs put the last item first when using the standard windows selection dialogue.

I'm using convertxtodvd 2.0.12, they're definitely listed in the correct order in the selection window. I've tried selecting them one by one and selecting them both at the same time. I've used other programs like DVD Santa that get our of order like you mentioned and I simply re-order them but these files are listed in the correct order.

You could use pgcedit to alter the playback order afterwards, or re-author the VOBs with something like TDA. No re-encoding required. I have not experienced this. Perhaps upgrade to the latest version.

Is there a program that will played the encoded (video_ts) files before I burn them so I can check them out and not waste DVD's.

    Thanks

IFOEdit has an inbuilt player, but there's also PowerDVD, WinDVD and even Windows Media Player that should be able to play it. I *think* VLC and MPC might be able to as well.
    If in doubt, Google it.
