    What is the best applications to convert HAV files into AVI or (S)VCD format?
    Freeware or none Freeware will work fine just a application that will work

    This one seems to be popular: http://www.gromada.com/videomach.html

    I don't know much about the format. Have you tried the freeware program SUPER ? It converts a lot of formats. But the one from Gromada specifically mentions HAV files.
