Is this website for real? Mad about you is only up to season 2 and they have a collections disc, but I wanted to know if this would be like what you get from wal-mart, like no commercials, no logos from networks, or pop ups, like it looks on real seasonal discs.
what do you think?
thanks

Those have got to be bootlegs. As you said, the rest of those seasons aren't released yet and they are region free? The studio wouldn't authorize that. They come with custom artwork for reason, because there is no official artwork yet. Some of the shows they are selling haven't been released on DVD at all anywhere.

Yes, they are not offical DVD's. My brother bought me a set of the Voltron, and they were in deed copy's from another media, not sure if it was from VHS or from the TV.
-
were they in good/great quality?
is this an hour show or 30 min show? how many were on each disc?
were you happy with them?
Did they start at the very beginning of the episode or were there any cut off places? -
Not only are the discs on this site fake and illegal, but they are generally awful crap quality, with the cheapest garbage penny DVD blanks you can buy. The video is often fuzzy and full of flaws, with about 6 hours crammed onto 1 disc. And then the audio is usually full of noise, hiss and whine and whatnot.
There are people out there who trade and collect homemade sets, and that's good and fine. They tend to do it for each other, not for $$$ like these sites.
dvdavenue.tv is like many ebay bootlegs, a shit stain on the Internet that should be avoided at all costs.
If you want legit DVD releases, research it. Some unknown site WILL NOT have official releases when Best Buy and amazon.com do not. It doesn't work that way. www.tvshowsondvd.com keeps track of all USA official DVD releases. Check out stores like amazon.co.uk or amazon.co.jp for official releases in other countries.
For example, that Voltron set mentioned above (8 disc homemade set), total waste of money. Voltron was officially released in Australia in a 5-volume set.
Dukes of Hazzard, Thundercats, The Flash, Adventures of Superman ... all of these have official USA releases (some are complete, some are mostly complete and will be complete soon). What you see on that site are 4- to 6-hour homemade DVDs in true vomit quality.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

thank you so much. I am so glad I asked you all here before I bought them.
I think they are done making Mad about you, they only made it to season 2 and then had a collection disc with the top favorite episodes, so I guess I will just have to get them off nick at nite.

The quality of the set my brother gave me was rather bad. Like watching the show with bad reception from an Antenna..
