Hi everyone

I just joined a few minutes ago and look forward to getting some help for a very frustrating and troublesome issue I have been dealing with for almost a week now.

Ok, I watch a lot of online TV stations, streaming news broadcasts (ie; Yahoo, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, etc). Sometimes I'll watch documentaries too (ie; Nova, Frontline, etc). Anyway, all of them basically have a very small video screen embedded within the webpage which of course I can double-click to make it go full-screen but the problem is that every one of them (except MSNBC) will automatically kick me out of the full-screen mode each time a new story or commercial starts playing which means that I have to KEEP double-clicking the screen in order to stay in full-screen mode. I'm just looking for a "seamless" experience.

I have noticed that if I can play ALL content within the stand-a-lone WMP or RealPlayer, the video will STAY (persistantly) in the full-screen mode and play one video after another (seamlessly) just like if you were watching regular TV but I don't know how to get all web-based media to automatically come up and play in the stand-a-lone Windows Media Player or RealPlayer and I can't seem to locate any options for that under preferences for either player. I've even tried VLC and Quicktime Pro and still no luck.

Now, I DID have some limited success by checking the options in WMP that allow the ActiveMovie window to always remain on top and by checking the "high-quality mode" box but the ActiveMovie screen is too small and even if I drag it out or maximaize it, it never stays that way and I end up with a small window again each time a new video or commercial starts playing. I could'nt even find a place in Windows XP (Home Edition) to configure ActiveMovie/DirectShow/DirectX so I could change the default size of the ActiveMovie Window. I even tried to use regedit and configsys (in the "run" box) to no avail. All I want to be able to do is keep everything in full screen mode and to stay that way either in a stand-a-lone media player (it does'nt matter which one) or within a full-sized ActiveMovie window.

Any ideas folks?. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get on this as I have struggled with this until I am half-nuts. Thank's in advance for any help you all are willing to give. Please make an old man's day!
