Hi All,
Quick question...I bought this DL DVD burner a while back (when it was $60):
http://store.yahoo.com/meritline/nec-nd-3550a-16x-dvd-burner.html
It says that it burns DVD-R/+R at x16 but when I put in my Fugi (up to) x16 DVD-Rs it will not recognize them as "burnable media". I am not even trying to burn at x16, I have the burn speed at x4.
I have cheap (up to) x8 and they work just fine.
I thought that it might have been a bad set of Fugi dvds that I bought, but I tried a second set and it does the same thing.
Any ideas what is going on and how to fix this?
Thanks very much in advance!

Disc recognition / speed recognition is part of the firmware. Try upgrading to the latest firmware.

Thanks!GO SOX AND PATS!!! -
Nero InfoTool will tell you the firmware version and other useful information. You can get it at Nero's site or on the net. http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Info_Tool.html
