  1. I've read many complaints about Nero 7 and people sticking to Nero 6 beacause of that. But maybe the last Nero 7 update (April 27th) solved it. Should I upgrade to Nero 7? If so, to Nero 7 Ultra or Premium? Thanks.

If I were you I would stick with Nero v6.6.1.4 It works very well for me InCD is still Crap.
Nero is still supprting the ISP with their masive downloads which we pay for. They have released Version 7.2.0.3 then two days later released another update v7.2.0.3b (127meg long) getting bigger every update.

  3. And what about Roxio? Is it a better choice than Nero 6?

If it works, don't mess with it. Unless there is some new option in 7 that you really want/need, there is no reason to upgrade.

I had to move up to 6.3xx to get my burner to be recognized, but I have no reason to upgrade to 7x. I would have have stuck to 5x if I could. But I only use Nero for burning and have never used the other 'stuff' they load in there. JMO, but Nero works fine for burning but doesn't do much else very well.
