    Hello,
I have many mpeg2 files, each arount 900Mb. If I burn a data DVD, I can fit 4 or 5 of them with no problems, but then I have to play this DVD in either PC or DivX enabled DVD player.

When I try to author a proper DVD using Nero, after I add two of these file, Nero shows that 3.5Gb is taken on the DVD. Attempting to add a third one and I get a red bar and a message saying that the files won't fit on the DVD.

Why is this happening and is there a solution?
    Thank you,
    Michael
P.S. These files originate from Topfield (TF5800) PVR, are downloaded to PC and converted from their original format zzzz.REC to zzzz.MPG using VideoRedo.

Most likely, Nero has decided (right or wrong) your mpg's are not DVD compliant, and are reencoding them according to its own preferences.
Solution? Don't use Nero for anything besides burning data to a disc.
Make sure your mpgs qualify as source material for DVD (See what is top left)
Author with a dedicated authoring app like TMPGEnc DVD Author, that don't reencode your stuff without letting you know.
