    I have a .ts file which i can play with powerdvd.

    I want to play it on a dvd player. I have checked the list of conversions on this site and cant find anything to do with a ts file.

    What exactly is a ts file? Are they known by another name?
    Does anyone know how i can edit/burn ts files?

    It's a HDTV video file. (Transport Stream) Look here for programs that can work with it:

    HDTV2DVD can convert it to a DVD.

    Of course, it wont be HD anymore, just SD res DVD.
