I have been capturing shows using Windows Movie Maker. I have no problems w/ the software. I just believe that I could get a better picture quality. I am usinga Kworld DVD-Maker PCI (Conexant 2388x). I connect my satellite dish via the S-Video, and connect the audio through line in(Sigma Tel).
I have no problems w/ audio, when I capture via WMM, using the default audio settings.. However, when I try to capture using VirtualDub, VirtualVCR, or Ulead Studio 8, the audio signal keeps dropping out, and coming back. Again, for these programs, I use the default settings.
Any suggestions on improving the audio in these programs would be appreciated.
For example, should I try any specific compression algorithms? Drop it from an 16bit audi capture to 8bit?
TIA!
