At the advice of the HDTV2DVD forum moderator, I am trying to setup HDTV Pump as a filter for Windows Media Player 10 so it can play TS video as described in the attached C/P. "HDTV Pump - This DirectShow filter allows playback of ATSC/DVB .ts files in any player application that uses DirectShow including Zoom Player, Microsoft Media Center 2005 and Microsoft Media Player 10"!

MY QUESTION IS: Does HDTV Pump (or WMP) have to be set or configured in some certain way to make WMP & HDTV2DVD play the TS files? Like, does it have to be installed in a plugins folder or some thing?

I have HDTV Pump installed in my PC, however TS files will not play in WMP 10 for me. I know very little about this subject but I think I'm missing some thing about how this combination needs to be configured.

This is an MCE 2005 PC with WMP vs.10. HDTV Pump is in my C:\System partition while HDTV is in D:\Applications partition (don't know if that matters).

Please don't suggest that I use some other player - that's not at issue here. I can already play TS files in Media Player Classic. What I need in this case is to be able to play in WMP 10 since it's used in HDTV2DVD to show a video preview for processing.

Some help will be very much appreciated. Or, please point me in the right direction to a source that can.
    Best regards, Richard

Thanks for the repy Baldrick, it's much appreciated.

Yes I can play all MPEG2 files in Windows Media Player. I also know I have MPEG2 decoder codecs installed since they are being used ib several other programs.

Do you have any other ideas as to what might be wrong here?
    Best regards, Richard
