  1. I have a ATI tuner card that I am capturing video as MPEG2 and want to convert it to Divx to burn to CD. Need suggestions of "easy" free software or somewhat inexpensive software to do the job. Any help is appreciated!!

    You could use VirtualDub-Mpeg2.

    DIVX is a variant of the MPEG4 compression standard. It requires more processing power, but delivers better fidelity using the same size data stream.
