Software suggestion to make special effect of voice

Hi

I would like to get your reccomendation on a good software that can take a normal recording of a voice speaking and then but effect on it so it can sound like the voice of a monster, dark vader, robot, mouse etc etc

I know there is a lot out there and this is why i ask you guys to make your suggestions of the ones you tried

For the Darth Vader effect, I suggest that you hire James Earl Jones!

i already try audacity
and i tought the effect I could do on voice was kind of limited

You are likely looking for voice changer software. Try a Google search for that. There's not much out there as freeware, though I think Audacity can do that with a little filter work. You can try MorphVox, but it's not freeware: http://www.screamingbee.com/product/MorphVOX.aspx
