    What's up everyone....

Ok...I'll try to make this long story short.....

I purchased the Sansui VCR/DVD Recorder and I was excited for the fact that it can record from VCR to DVD and visa versa.....I put in DVD-R discs to record and it records...but when I try to play it in my computer, it will not play.....

I did a search in this forum to find out if anyone had the same situation as I do and I found some threads....I followed the instructions but it still will not play in my computer.....

I changed the option from VR to video but it still wouldn't play on my computer....The 2 drives I have on my computer are both Sony's (DVD-ROM DDU1615 and DVD RW-G120A)....

Any help would be appreciated and I look forward to hearing from anyone....

There are other models that suffer from similar issues. The problem could be that the discs are not finalized, some units have a menu option to close/finalize the disc after burning, and some do not. There are also some models that encrypt the disc, making it readable only by your player (or I imagine other similar players) as a form of copy protection.

I checked my settings and it says that the DVD finalizes once it is completed....Does anyone else have a Sansui that has had the same problem and, if so, how did y'all fix it?
