I have searched and searched and searched through google to find this particular DVD Player (Lifetec LT 80796). And I have no clue if it is even still available. Could someone please help me find a store where i can buy this player? Online. Youd be a great help, I know this board has some nice users. But I've sifted through quite a few google pages tried every search inquiry i could think of. like tigerdirect. amazon, ebay, if someone else could help me find an online store that has it Id be very grateful for your help! I didnt ask for a 250GB External HDD for my birthday for nothing! Unless someone can mention an alternative that has a usb port, plaus divx xvid, and ogm and ogg, then please do tell. this player even supports nero digital mp4 so thats one of the main reasons i want it besides the divx and xvid and the usb port.

Could I have those overseas links? I might be willing to pay the extra shipping and handling.

Lifetec is no longer Lifetec, it's Aldi Medion. German company. If you try the two links below, you'll notice they go to the same page:

    http://www.lifetec.de

    http://www.medion.de

And not so strangely, they have sold (but possibly not anymore) players with very similar model numbers:

    Lifetec LT 80796
    Medion MD 80796

Anyhoo, you'd probably need to contact them. If the model you want has a dual-power (110/220v & 50/60hz) capability, you're in business ... assuming they still make it.

On a positive note, and while I don't see them selling the unit you want in the US, Medion does maintain a US site:

    http://www.medionusa.com

If you visit the site and click on the "customer care" tab, they have a link about mid page to send email. You might want to tell them what you were looking for ... and ask for a current model that does the same things. I suspect the model number has been superceded since the acquisition of Lifetec. Good luck.

FWIW, I'm in a similar boat. A couple of years ago, I bought at Yamakawa DVD-275. It works great and plays just about ANYTHING with a shiny surface (grin). Back then, they had 2 very active websites in the U.S. - YamakawaDirect.com and YamakawaUS.com. Both are now gone. And despite the Japanese sound of the company name, they're made in Germany, too:

    http://Yamakawa.de

So, if I ever want to buy a "clone" of my current player, I'd have to deal directly with the German company. At least Medion still has an active US website (sigh).

I would assume it is available in the USA since it has USA power capabilities. Can someone tell me the price of this DVD Player and give me a link to where I can find one to buy online? Thanks in advance.
