Hi,
Probably this is very simple question but i have stuck up with this. See i have an .avi file and .sub file. I want to write VCD and DVD. So in which format (I guess to .dat and mpeg2 respectively) i need to convert this avi file before burning. I want to play this VCD and DVD in my PC and TV through DVD player. I will be using Nero latest version to burn these disk.
When i burned one .avi fiel to VCD it took almost one hour for 60 mins movie. And that too doesnt give sound when i play in PC and runs file in DVD player(when connected to TV).Does the burning speed tht i need to take care?
Is it so tht while burning Nero will automatically take care of .sub file and put in the correct folder in disk. I dont want permanant subtitles becouse sometime subtitles doesnt coincide properly with the movie scene and non permanane subtitles can be delayed or fasten i guess so.

nero doesn't support sub.
vcd doesn't support any switchable subtitles so you must make permanent subtitles, i think dvd2svcd supports it.
for dvd use convertxtodvd and add the avi and sub to get a dvd with swithcable subtitiles.
