how to cut/join .idx+.sub

i rip it off from DVD with VSRip.
but when i try to open it in SubtitleWorkshop it's said like "format error" or something like that.

Are there another way to cut/join this format subtitle ?

Hehe, couldn't figure a way to cut those SUP files, eh? This problem is easier to solve. You can cut IDX/SUB files with the VobSub Cutter utility that comes bundled with VobSub.

There's also a VobSub Joiner.

Yes, VobSub comes with a cutter and a joiner. Unfortunately, though, VobSub has been replaced with VSFilter, which *doesn't* come with a cutter and joiner....so, if you want to have the most up-to-date setup, I guess you need to install VobSub and *then* install VSFilter.
