I use OGM and MKV files every now and then. I noticed MKV files tend to have dual audio labelled in such a way most players and codecs can tell which language track is which. OGM files tend to not have this function (or are simply not labbeled properly?). If there is anyway to force one track over another, I'd love to know how. I am willing to concider any approach that someone here would be willing to explain to me. I am sure it's possible to switch which track is which making English audio the first track and thus default. Maybe possible to comment the track to make players aware of which is which. Whatever. If anyone knows the best way to get the right track playing by default, lemme know please.

Also, I usually use VLC. If there is a quick audio switch shortcut key I am unaware of, please enlighten me.

    Thanks for your time/help.

I don't know about a quick audio switch in VLC, but you can select another track under 'Audio>Audio track'.

If you want a very customizable player, then look a the pay Version of Zoom player. You should be able to set a mouse toggle, hot key, or a control panel button in the 'Advanced' options to switch the audio tracks, along with a hundred or so other settings.

Well, before trying that I'd like to see if it isn't possible to fix the current player, or current files, but that sounds like a good option if nothing else pans out. VLC isn't exactly the master of useability, and I am sure Zoom has some interesting features that may make this less of an issue. I've heard good things of Zoom before.

  4. I don't know if it works, but you can change the audio track placement in VDubMod.
