    How can i convert .m2t files to something that VideoStuido 10 can open? I tried to just change the file extension but it still would not open it.

    I don't want to loose any of the quality since it is from a High definition camcorder.

    wow, VS10 Plus has HD editing! awesome.
    I don't know if this will work, but try running your file thru
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=HDTVtoMPEG2
    then load the files into VS10 Plus
