I have used vfapi reader codec before this (former installations of my system), it's a 'new' problem for me:
I have got the .zip-file containing the relevant files, I have run the vfapi .bat AND also installed the vfapi.inf by right clicking. I tried deleting all registry-settings and installing again, but it still does not work. GSpot also tells me "VFW VIFP VFAPI Reader Codec 1.05 vidc.vifp 0x00400000 ** File Missing: VFCodec.dll".
What goes wrong and what I should do? Thanks.
EDIT: The VFCodec.dll does reside in the systems32-directory... EDIT.

Solved the problem - again - myself. By chance registered the "readavs.dll" for the second time (readavs.bat), now everything is working again.
Thanks anyway. 8)
