Either the one Beer I am having is wreaking havoc on my eyesight or all of this video stuff is getting to me. I am playing a 60 minute long music video on DVD but only wish to capture those videos/songs that I like, when I started the DVD, it played fine, both video and audio was in sync but when I started pausing, rewinding and fast forwarding e.t.c to get to the start of the songs I am interested in, I noticed that the video and audio was not in sync anymore.
I then ejected the DVD and played it from the start again and it plays in sync, can anyone shed some light on what's happening here? Also, if this situation can't be helped and that my only option would be to record the entire DVD then what would be my best option, to create chapters or use an editing software to split the videos where I want and extract only the parts I want? Or then, would it be better to rip the DVD straight from the DVD-Rom drive instead of capturing via my card? What would you guys do to get the best results please?
I swear, I don't know which will kill me first, all this very complicated video stuff or my boss , I think I need another freakin beer now or maybe a few to tide me over until I see some replies from you guys!! Thanks, fellas!!

Your best bet to copy only the songs you want would be to use dvdshrink in reauthor mode. You can rip with dvdfabdecrypter and open the files in dvdshrink if shrink can't rip it.
Inside shrink go to reauthor mode. From there you can select which tracks you want and which tracks you don't. Now keep in mind doing it this way won't give you smooth fades between songs. If one song ends abruptly it will cut immediately to the beginning of the next song. If you want it smoother you'd have to reencode the video with the songs you want and insert your own fade points. Much more work. However with shrink its pretty quick if you just want to take out the songs you don't want.
You can even keep the menu if you want by using the "video has been removed" insert where you take out the video. I haven't done that myself so I can't tell you more about.
However by simply reauthoring it without the tracks you don't like you will get the songs only without the menus and such.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Slight [I hope] problem, when I capture I have just 1 mpeg2 file or icon, when I rip via Shrink, I end up with 5 files for each video so I place each different video into separate folders, now when importing the files into NVE3, how or which files can I import out of those 5 files, just the mpeg2 file? Or how is it done? I wish to simply import just the mpeg2 files [like when I am capturing] so they will show as different titles

Ok so since it does not appear that my question above can be answered then can anyone please tell me how you can burn the files in NeroVisionExpress3 that you have created using Shrink's Reauthoring? Thanks.
