  1. I just bought a KWorld V-Stream Studio TV Terminator card. I can't figure out the RF connector. It isn't an RCA connector, can anyone identify it?

    Thank you.

Looks like a BNC connector. You can buy an adapter at Radio Shack or elsewhere.

It isn't a BNC, it's a Belling Lee socket. Standard RF connector on European equipment.

    Thank you.

Does anyone know where to find an adapter to an F Plug connector? I went all over the RF connectors at Fry's today and couldn't find anything like it.

I've got about 4 in my toolkit at work, but as I'm in the UK they are very common. Don't know where you could even start to look in the US I'm afraid.

    doGSOP,

Is that card a PAL or an NTSC version for its TV Tuner? If it's a PAL only card, you may be in luck getting an adapter at Radio Shack, but it really may not work with your TV equipment for input/output.

Check your card's documentation and let us know, ok?

    Good Luck!

  9. It has an NTSC tuner. I can force a push-on F connector over it and if I manage to bend the center conductor slightly and make contact on the card side I get a picture. I would just like to get a solid connection.

Now that I know what I'm looking for I can find the adapter on-line, but only from UK sites. I don't understand why I can't find it from a single US site. Oh well, this is what I get for buying the cheapest capture card in the store.

    Thanks again.

You can't find such an adapter in the U.S. (not easily, anyway) because the Belling-Lee connector is not a standard on U.S. equipment, and no one over here uses it.

  11. SHS - Thanks!

I just went to my local Radio Shack and picked one up.

I had searched their site for Belling Lee and IEC 169-2 and couldn't find it. It never occured to me to search for "European TV Adapter".
