Can anyone confirm that SONY Vegas 3.0 really really edits Mp4 files?
I want to put in a intro to around 200 samll screen flix, kinda like a Universal studios globe thing, wondering if Vegas can do it.

    vegas 3 ? prob. not ....

what kind of mpeg4 are you talking about ? vegas 6 will edit some types no problems ...

mp4 is not really a edit format anyway - it is a delivery format , editing it and re-encoding sometimes (often) doesnt look to hot

Vegas will edit anything after full decompression. The issue is whether the codec generation loss is acceptable or necessary.

AVIDemux can edit mp4's. Still needs some work though and it is more the equiv of VDub not Vegas.
