Hi,
I am backing up my Digital Camcorder tapes to DVD. I am transferring many at a time and then using SizeMe to create DVD images (.iso) in batch mode. The .iso however seem to have only fair success in being burnt on my LG GSA-4163B. The media I am using is given very good ranking on this forum (GQ, code SONY08D1). The Sizeme tool allows me to very quickly create the DVD images (in about 20% of the time it would otherwise take).
My question is can a .iso (which works fine when mounted in DAEMON) cause unreliable burning (i.e. it may work a second time for instance) or am I looking at a failing drive (which seems OK otherwise)?
Thanks.

I would try creating an ISO with a different program to rule out software problems. The ISO is just a container for the data, along with instructions to the burner about the format to use to recreate the original file and if any of that is incorrect, you can have failures.
If a different ISO creation program doesn't help, then the burner may be suspect.
