Nero has an excellant web site for support.
post a message on the tech support form at nero with your log file.
They are sure to be able to help.

In looking at your log file, the problem is that you don't have dma enabled for the drive. You need to go to Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager, then go to IDE/ATA/ATAPI controllers, and expand that. Right click on both the Primary and Secondary IDE's and uninstall. Reboot. Windows will autodetect the drivers. Go back into control panel and click on the primary and secondary ide's. Check properties/advanced, and transfer mode should be UDMA # . If it says DMA not available, or PIO, there is a problem.

    The way I read it.......
Your log says you are configured for ..disk at once.
Remove the checkmark..don't use disk at once...

Did your buffer run dry? The log says that it failed to burn at 10X. What kind of media were you using? PIO mode might not be able to keep up with this speed. Change your primary and secondary IDE channels to "DMA, if available" and try again.

No, the IDE channels properties are the CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM > HARDWARE > DEVICE MANAGER > IDE CHANNELS/CONTROLERS. Change the transfer method under ADVANCED SETTINGS.

If you have the 80 wire IDE cables, just change the transfer to "DMA, If Available". If you have to select, use "Ultra DMA 2". Don't let your BIOS select the tranfer speed.

The 80 wire IDE cable should have red connectors. Ultra DMA 2 - Ultra 33 is what you should use.

Is the tranfer mode properly changed? Or does it still show "PIO MODE"?
