    Hello,
last night I went to a concert and I shot the big screen with my cam. The problem is that I had to hold the cam with the hand and the big screen moves everytime on the video. It was shot in a resolution of 640*480 but as I was far from the stage, the big screen just take half of the resolution. All around the big screen is black (take a look at the pic).
I'd like to recenter the big screen on the video, make it stop moving. Since everything is black all around, I think it is quite possible. I tryed the virtualdub filter "deshaker". It gives positive results by removing most of the trembling but I couldn't get it to re-center the screen.
That's what I am here asking your clever mind for some help.
    Thanks a lot !

I am assuming you had the proper permissions to tape that concert, otherwise it might be considered in violation of our rules. Please read our rules before posting. Moderator redwudz

But you might try the Zwei-Stein Video Editor 3.01: http://www.tucows.com/preview/195042
It has a lot better cropping/panning controls than VD. It's freeware, so you have little to lose. You might have to chop the video up to be able to apply the pan adjustments to the different parts of it. It accepts AVI, but I'm not sure about DV.

    And welcome to our forums.

Hello and thanks for your answere. It was a free concert and there were no restriction of filming or taking pictures written anywhere. A lot of people was using a cam, so I don't think there were any problem with that.
I will give a try to the software that you mentioned, thanks.
