Don't ask for a link, they don't make it anymore but there are a few copies around on the net... Can capture ASF and RM.

  3. You may not actually need to use any other applications if you use Win2000 or XP. Try this, works for me.

If you use Windows Media player to play any streaming files then they always get downloaded to your hard disc first before being played. Allow the file to download completely, or click STOP but dont close Media Player. The file will continue to download as long as Media Player is open. Once the bar reaches 100% you can then search for the file.

Start Windows Search, enter search string (*.mp3 for example). Set the search to look in "c:\documents and settings\[your logon name]\local settings\temporary internet files". (Replace [your logon name]with your own Windows login name for example John Smith).

In XP click "More Advanced Options" and check "System Folders", "Hidden Files and Folders" and "Subfolders". Hit the Search button and wait for your MP3s to appear. Now copy them to anywhere you want.

In Windows 2000 you need to first enable viewing of hidden files and folders. To do this, open "My Computer", Click "Tools -> Folder Options", click "View", and then in the section labelled "Advanced" click "Show Hidden Files and Folders".

The above also applies to other kinds of multi-media files such as mpeg (search for *.mpg and *.mpeg).

  4. Yes, this trick also works with Win98. The only problem is that Media Player doesn't play RM files so in this instance its of no use.
