is 500mb too much for 1/3 of a VCD movie?

i just downloaded a few movies off kazaa, and using TMPGenc, or whatever it's called i converted them to .mpg. and because the video is in 3 parts, i have 3 files. each file converted to around 500mb's. and downloaded they were only around 200 with divx compression. i just needed to know if this too much space to be using for only 1/3 of a movie?
