EURO PAL SONY PS-2 and Region 1: US, CA DVD Movies...

Hello,
I have an un-modded EURO PAL SONY PS-2 Model 50004 and I would like to know if it can play original Region 1: US, CA NTSC DVD movies?

I have tried the Japanese NTSC Psyvariar II bonus movie DVD and it worked fine, but what about Region 1: US, CA movies?

The japanese ntsc video might have been region free but normal region 1 movies probably wont work unless its modifed and you are using a scart cable or you use a dvd region free disk with a scart cable

If it was me

Also make you your tv can handle the ntsc signal or use scart cable

Also if you have the latest matrix infinity firmware you might be able to do all this with your chip

(some people say you cant do it but I have never actually tried)
