Hello, I wish to author my personal DVD by using "DVDAuthorGUI".
I created an uncompressed AVI menu by using "3ds Max".
The "main movie PGCs" in my DVD are in MPEG-2 interlaced format.
So I just wish to know if it should be better to use interlaced MPEG-2 for the menù too, or if progressive MPEG-2 should be the best way for the menù.
    Many thanks.

Keep the program MPeg2 interlaced, the menus can be either.

    What is the destination display?

For interlaced DVD player output to an interlaced display, progressive menus will be interlaced by the player. A computer may like progressive menus.

Usually it should be displayed on a TV or a PC monitor, so on both interlaced and progressive screens.

I wish to make my DVD compatible with every DVD players, from the oldest types to the newest ones.

    Thanks again.
