I am planning to purchase a new Laptop that will be used at times to author DVD's. For the monies I have available, I have the choice of a Laptop with a AMD Turion 64 ML-34 1.8GHz (1MB L2 Cache) or a Intel Pentium M Centrino 740 (2MB L2 Cache) or Centrino 725A (2MB L2 Cache)?
Each Laptop will be configured basically identical except for the CPU type. IGB of DDR memory, 80GB HDD and DVD-R/RW/+/- writer.
Thoughts?

just authoring doesn't require much cpu so it doesn't matter.
or do you mean encoding/converting, like avi to dvd? -
