    Hi all,
I currently burn DivX/XviD files onto a CD-RW which I can then watch on my Toshiba DVD player which can read DiVx/Xvid files directly.

I use Nero and burn in UDF/ISO mode.

Is there a way to burn the same DivX file onto a DVD-RW?

I do not want/need to convert the DivX file to vobs.

    Thanks.

  2. From Nero Burning ROM choose DVD-ROM ISO. Under the multisession tab select "No Multisession." Click New. Drag-and-Drop your Xvid/DivX files onto the left pane. When you have all that you want on the disc (or it's full) click burn. This should work fine for you as long as your player will play Xvid/DivX from a DVD-ISO disc.

    Thats great. It works.

How would I then burn an MPEG file (SVCD) onto the same disc?

I have both .bin/.cue and also .mpg files.

Can I use the "Burn Image" from the menu for the .cue/.bin?

I am a bit stuck if it is an .mpg file

    Thanks in advance.

If you are asking how to burn a CD type CUE/BIN file with Nero, yes, 'Burn Image' and select the CUE file. If you try to burn this on a DVD, it will probably ask for a CD instead.

If you are asking how to burn an image to the same DVD disc as an Xvid, you probably can't. The image file format will take over the disc, or it may do as above and ask for a CD. You might be able to put the Xvid on afterwards if you leave the disc open, as in multisession. I never tried that.

If you only want to view the disc on the computer, you could extract the SVCD from the BIN (ISOBuster works well.) and burn just the MPEG part of it and the Xvid on a DVD/RW using DVD-ROM (ISO) format. As long as both fit, that should work fine. If your player will show the SVCD video in the proper format, OK. I use VLC for a player as it plays most any format, but any player that lets you adjust aspect ratio should work.
