Howdy

I have the strangest problem with my Pc.

I use TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress to do my avi-MPEG conversion. I have used this extensively in the past without to many problems.

What happens now has me perplexed. I add the video file like normal and then go the Cut-edit tab and drag the slider across the window to see if I need to decompress the sound of the clip.

Instead of the slider moving across the screen like it used to the slider only moves about a 5 mm's across and then wont move any more. You then get this windows type hour glass appearing and the progam just freezes and you have to shut it down with Cntrl-Alt-Delete.

I you choose to bypass the cut edit tab and move onto Encoding-after you have set the output source and so forth you get to the window where you press the "Encode"button you get this error message that states "Divided by 0"

And and message saying "an error stopped the progress" in red

I also have another problem which I dont know if it is related but has also never happened before.

When I use Nero 6 (Genuine) and go to "make a dvd movie" and then "Add a Video File" the "browse" window comes up and then "the add video file" window shuts down and the standard choice menu comes back and you havc to start all over again.

The thing is that it never lets you add a video file. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Nero and that wont cure the problem either

This is a freshly formatted and installed PC and all the other applications seem to be working OK.

Any Help Please would be appreciated.
