  1. All of a sudden avi=>mpg conversion using TMPGEnc stopped picking up and embedding .srt subtitles.
    I tried the usual fixes of checking VFapi prority settings and reinstalling VobSub. No joy. Searching around
    the most recent change I made was uninstalling SVCD2DVD 2.0 and installing 2.1. I'm wordering if maybe
    some subtitle support could be interfering with VobSub? I tried installing latest VSFilter also and with that installed, TMPGEnc displays the green arrow in the tray and takes forever to load.

    Has anyone else noticed VobSub breaking or acting weird after SVCD2DVD 2.1 install?

    I can't see it. SVCD2DVD doesn't use/install any codecs or any directshow filters etc... Uninstall v2.1 and see if that makes a difference...
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

  3. Hmmm, maybe it's just coincidental. I uninstalled SVCD2DVD and reinstalled VobSub.
    Nothing changed. Pretty mysterious. In the past it's always been a subtitle utility
    that hijacked the file extension and reinstall of VobSub fixed it. Oh well, if I find out
    what the culprit is I'll update.

  5. I found the issue. Somehow or other DirectVobSub configuration got changed from
    "load when needed" to "never load".

    I don't know how that happened but I'm glad it's an easy fix.
    Sorry to bother you over nuthin'.
