  1. I produced a movie some time ago, but recently I noticed a spelling error on my credit reel. I tried to fix this by looking through my Video_TS folder and finding which VOB file is my credit reel. In my case, my credits were on VTS_09_01.VOB.

I cut this file to another folder, and redid the credits, and found an avi to vob converter, and renamed the good credit file to VTS_09_01.VOB, and imported this into my video_ts folder.

However, when I tried to burn the DVD with Nero, I got a DVD files reallocation failed error. I looked through these forums, and many people say to ignore this error. I tried burning it anyway, but the disc does not work in my DVD player.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Tony

  2. You need to reauthor.

  3. Is there any possible way to fix that one little credit reel without having to redo the whole movie? Maybe changing something in the VTS_09 ifo file with ifoedit?

    Thanks,

    Tony

This may or may not work, but its worth a try ...

start ifoedit and open the VIDEO_TS.IFO in your dvd folder, click get vts sectors on the ifoedit toolbar, keep clicking ok till all is done, exit ifo edit and check that the dvd plays correctly using power dvd or windvd etc. try burning and see if you still get the error, if so you will need to reauthor the vobs with authoring software such as TMPGenc dvdauthor or similar, check out the tools section. (There is a 30 day free trial of TMPGenc dvdauthor)

Before doing anything, make a backup of your original in case something goes wrong

    1) Author you replacement credits into a simple DVD Structure (DVD Folders on your Hard drive).

    2) Then open the old dvd in PGCedit.

3a) Right-click on the Title with the credits, and select "Import Title's Closing Clip"

3b) A window will popup -- select "Don't pause, it's an animated clip", and in the bottom half select "Restart DVD from Beginning"

    4) Now browse to the replacement credit folder, and select the new credit (VTS_01_0.ifo).

    5) Your DVD Structure will be modified for the navigation to be within dvd specifications. Now you have to change the original Title to skip the bad credits -- hopefully you might have a chapter for the credits -- in which case you could add a CELL command to jump to the end of that title, then it should pickup on the new title ending that was just inserted...

    George
