I've downloaded the software which does not come with help files, I've looked all over the place following link after link and still can't get help for my issue, all I need to do is to trim or cut out the beginnings and ends of some Mpeg movie files, does anyone know where I can get instructions on how to do this please?

My video files are captured in "DVD" format according to my card's settings and when I look at the properties of the captured files on my hard drive, they read "Mpeg movie", all of this terminology is really confusing me, tried to open a captured video file in Cutteraman but I don't see the files in the browser window to select them so I am guessing that cutteraman does not work with the files I have in their format, what are my easiest options here to trim my files please?

If they are in DVD format, (Look to the upper left on our site for 'What is' DVD to see the DVD format/file structure. <<<<<<) you can convert them to MPEGs with a program like VOB2MPG or read this guide by Baldrick:

I don't use it but I think that cuttermaran requires elementary streams, meaning that if you have an mpeg file that you have to demux.

Personally I use MVW, free 30 day trial.
