  1. Hey! I've been slogging through the several year old thread on DL burning, and am trying to figure out exactly what it is that RN 7.3 wants from me. I have a VIDEO_TS folder on my HD which is about 5.3GB. RN returns the common error regarding the format of the VIDEO and AUDIO folders when I try to burn. Soooo...I opened the VTS_01_0 file in IFOedit, and see that there does not seem to be a layer break at any of the chapters. Next came exploring the VIDEO_TS with pgcedit. Opening the Title brings up an error which says the PGC Playback time doesn't match the total of the cell times, and should PGCeditor fix it? I've said no, as I have no idea just what exactly this would do. Looking at the info provided in the bottom window, there is a grayed-out check in the Layer column on the very first entry, but nothing further down.
Having burned two identical semi-coasters (they both play in the second layer for a second or two, then lockup the drive. are unrecognizable on other burners, and skippy and pixelated on a settop player), I tried the recommended solution of having DVDShrink reauthor a stripped down, uncompressed VIDEO_TS folder, which RN also refused to burn.
At this point I'm feeling pretty damn lost, and not really willing to spring the 5 grand for Maestro, which, evidentaly, would cure all my ills. Can anyone point me in the right direction from here?

Inv8r_ZIM, unless your VIDEO_TS compilation is completely out of specs, this should help you solve the problem:

All you would need is to get the latest version of DVDRemake Pro. But again, if there are many errors in your compilation that are not even dual layer related, you may have to reauthor the whole thing.

  3. Thank you very much, Mr. B! Yeah, I've slogged through the whole thread, and was on the verge of trying remake, but hadn't yet been able to commit myself to the $50, after just grabbing RN DX. Since this is hobby-level stuff for me, and not my livelihood. I'd tried the other possible solutions you suggested in various threads, but nothing seems to work. How about having PGCEdit autmatically fix the length discrepency? Is that a good idea, or should it be left alone? The movie plays fine in PowerDVD, so at least off the HD it's fine, which is why I'm assuming it something about the layer break not being flagged. Thanks for the response!
