This seems a really helpful site and I am slowly shifting through the listings for an answer to my problem.
Have recently purchased a Pikaone flycase tv multimedia player with a 160 gig hdd. I`m hoping that someone else might have one or might have encurred a similar problem that I have.
My problem is that when I play a movie that I have created on the computer using a number of software aplications I can`t get the sound to play with the movie/picture show. If I were to play the sound in its music file on the flycase tv it would play. However If I were to play the movie from the dvd player it would play both movie & music together fine. I think the problem lies with the audio as it is not been recognised in the movie file even thou it is there. THe product is only 3 weeks old & technical or customer support from Pikaone don`t seem to exsit as of yet they have not replied to any of my telephone or email calls. If anyone has any advise would be gratefull.

Hello David I just bought a Pikaone Flycase TV and like you I got the same problem I downloaded a couple of films on my P.C. and loaded them on to the PikaOne hardrive ,I then connected the PikaOne up to my T.V. to watch these films ,but on each of the films the first part of the film never had any sound ,they all had a perfect picture and sound exept the first part of each film which is realy annoying ,and I to sent a E Mail to PikaOne helpline but as you say they dont seem to exist ,I was gonna send this hardrive back for a replacement but I dont think that will work as it seems to be a fault in the hardrive itself ,If I here anything to help you I will most certanlly let you know ,and if you here something before me I hope you will let me know,thanks take care best regards Roy.

Hi Roy,
Many thanks for your reply. It`s nice to know someone else purchased one of these, we got ours from QVC the shopping channel.
Since I posted my problem on this site have sorted it out ourselves, however after loads of attemps finnally had a responce from PIKAONE who admit there is a problem with the product and say they will be releasing new firm ware for it and to keep checking their website.
We sorted ours out by rendering our home video movies in Pinnacle Studio 9, picture & sound quality excellent.
Hope this info helps you.
Regards Dave. -
If your files are mpeg4 avi try using GSpot and Mpeg4Modifier to see if there are any differences between the ones that play and the ones that don't.

If they're AVI files try reencoding the audio with VirtualDub. It will only take a few minutes. Maybe just remuxing the file will work.
Remux:
File -> Open Video File
Video -> Direct Stream Copy
Audio -> Direct Stream Copy
File -> Save As AVI
Reencode Audio:
File -> Open Video File
Video -> Direct Stream Copy
Audio -> Full Processing Mode
Audio -> Conversion... (change anything that's necessary)
Audio -> Compression... (pick codec and settings)
File -> Save As AVI -
Hello jagabo thanks again for your help but my problem is with PikaOne Flycase T.V. these films I have done work well on my P.C. with both sound and vision and I can burn them to DVD and watch them on a DVD player with no problem ,my problem is when I put these films on to the PikaOne hardrive and play them on my P.C. they work fine with both sound and vision but when I connect the PikaOne hardrive to my T.V. to watch these films the first part of the film has no sound but the other three parts work fine with both sound and vision so I think the problem lies there I dont know of course ,I wish I did though,anyway cheers jagabo thanks mate take care best regars Roy.
