So whats it going to be about???

What do you want to see in it??

I had heard they did a test for gambit in one of the earlier movies but didn't include him because the effects looked cheesy. Maybe he'll be in the new one????

I wonder how the tone will change with a new director. I liked Singers pacing and choices. It will also be interesting to see how the cast likes the new director.

So it should be out next May right??? I saw a poster in the theater the other week but forgot what date it posted.

It's going to be the birth of Phoenix, plus the Sentinels. Angel and Beast (Kelsey Grammer) are coming on board, but Nightcrawler isn't returning (but Colossus is).

Tons of background mutants too (Artie, Leech, Shadowcat, etc.)

Got a bad feeling about X-3. Bryan singer is no longer with them, with a new director now, so who knows how it will turn out....

Plus hearing all those reports of 20+new characters being crammed into the movie. yikes....

Wow just read that Kelsey Grammar is going to be in Xmen 3??? Boy thats weird. I liked him as frasier but I don't know about him in an action movie. That should be interesting.

I always thought it was weird that that X2 introduces the idea that X3 will be the Dark Phoenix saga, at least the beginning of it.

That is some way out there stuff. I mean it involves the secret wars and aliens.

Just seems early to go that far.

I am pretty sure in the Spiderman movies they aren't going to go Cosmic. And most likely they wll keep make Venom come from source on the earth, instead of making him (the suit) an alien symbiote.

But then again they, did introduce an astronaut in the Spiderman movie, so Spiderman won't have to go into space to get Venom even, if he (the suit) is an alien.

Here's Kelsey Grammar's character, Beast. Beast is much more of an intellectual and an inventor than a fighter, so it could be perfect casting except that he is also capable of kicking some serious butt so we'll see how they pull it off. He might not even need to see any real action since there are sooo many other characters that are more battle type characters.

Yeah, never thought of all that, the first thing i thought of though at the end of X2 was the Dark Phoenix because of the shadowy flame birdish shape you saw under the water after the damn burst and flooded the valley when Jean Grey died saving them, & the fact that her powers were growing, funny, most of my friends never even noticed it until i told them

Okay, you guys are scaring me now.... it has been like 25 years since i have read any x-men comics
I think i have some really good ones stored away from way back like 30+ years ago, although i was more of an avengers fan, Thor, The vision, scarlet witch (married the vision, who by the way could fight Thor to a standstill, the vision) Iron Man, ect.

But now that you mention it, i remember, yep, beast was more of an intellectual and wasn't he a scientist or some kind of professor, definately a brainiac more than a fighter even though he could whip some serious ass when needed

Although i must admit, he does look fitting in the makeup as the beast!!
Look's pretty damn good!!! just hope it is not a let down for the fact that they have a diff. person doing it!!

I'm pretty dissapointed with how juggernaut will look in x-3. Vinnie jones is WAAAAY too small, and the costume looks gay and nothing like how juggernaut looks in the comics.

*sigh* In the comics juggernaut towers over most marvel characters, and yet in the movie he'll be almost the same size as wolverine and will be dwarfed by collossos and sabretooth by about 6"!

The size might be acceptable if they could get his look right. Unfortuniely like i said earlier, the movie costume is stupid and nothing like how juggernaut appears.

They will probably use camera tricks and CG to make Juggernaut look bigger.

Juggernaut grows from that jewel or stone or whatever that is in his helmet. Unless they have a different actor play the untransformed Juggernaut; they will have to make Vinnie bigger.

He is a good pick to be Patrick Stewart's brother.

They can't end the series now. I don't think spinoffs will work so hot. The ensemble is too good.

All the Cast from the First Movie only signed on to do 3 films. There might be more Xmen movies with different actors and mutants maybe.

Actually they did not originaly sign on for 3 movies.

Wolverine Note: (6/1/03) Officially, Hugh Jackman has not yet signed on for 'X3.' However, he is a bit of a Catch-22, because there have been several remarks made to the effect that Fox will never do an 'X-Men' movie without Wolverine. In other words... if he doesn't sign on, the movie probably won't happen.
(3/24/05) Hugh Jackman is officially signed on for this third movie, as well as a solo 'Wolverine' movie scheduled for 2007
Cast Unlikely to Return: (6/1/03) The cast member from the first two movies most likely to not return for the third movie is Halle Berry (Ororo Munroe, AKA Storm), due to her rising profile as an A-list star, and the script difficulties of keeping Storm's role in each of these ensemble movies large enough to do her status justice.

Not really, her powers were growing beyond even proff. xavier and if you watch the end where she is narating the evolution of mutant's you can see a firey shape of a bird under the water that flooded the valley/lake that seemed to have killed her 8)

Yep, i could not even imagine them replacing any of the many major characters now... they al seem to fit together in the movies too well

They are coming out with a Magneto spinoff too but it takes place before the x-men movies.

If X3 is successful I seriously doubt it will be the last x-men movie.

    NOT!!!

Other likely candidates that have been mentioned or rumored for either 'X2' or 'X3' in recent years are original X-Man Warren Worthington III (AKA 'Angel') and Remy LeBeau (AKA 'Gambit'). In that same talk, Hayter said that he doubted Gambit would ever have more than a small role because he's too similar to both Cyclops (powers-wise) and Wolverine (personality-wise).
Angel looks WAY cool in the trailer!!!

Whereas most of the X-Men characters thus far adapted for the movies are cool, Gambit is "kewl" and "kewlness" sucks. He's a relic of a dark time in comic book history when style was valued over substance, and probably the character that most singularly divides fans into two camps: the Gambit fans and those Gambit bugs. I would pity any actor who ends up playing Gambit; the down side is potentially huge... even if you please the Gambit fans, you still have to deal with all of the people who think the character just plain sucks.
I wonder if Jubilee is going to have a bigger part in this one, Jubilee (and the same actress that played her) are in X3 but in X2 they only showed her for like 10 seconds and she had no lines in X2
So i'm thinking if they actually brought her back for X3 with the same actress they must have more on screen planned for her ??

Most of Jubilee's character has been added to Rogue.

Movie Rogue has Comic Rogue's main power, draining and using other mutants powers.

But Movie Rogue's character is actually much closer to Comic Jubilee.

There is no need to add Jubilee as a full cast member.

Didn't they bring back the same Iceman already. I think they know that fans love to see the cameos of as many mutants as possible.

Gambit has been held back, because they couldn't figure out how to do his power in live action.

I am a huge Chris Tucker fan, but I just don't see how he could be Gambit. He is from Atlanta, but that is much different than being from the Lousiana bayou.

Also he doesn't seem tough enough, or serious enough to be Gambit. But then again Rogue have gotten a character overhaul.

Anna Paquin could have never played the comic book version of Rogue.

    SPOILER ALERT (well possibly)

I read on cnn's website that the movie is going to be about more acceptance of mutants by the general public. And somehow there's going to be a way to undo the mutation

    Interesting.

Movie Rogue replaces Jubellie as Wolverine's wayward/troubled teen girl associate.

So it would be a Wolverine ( Rogue ) movie with Hugh Jackman and Anna Paquin. And she has an Em Effing Oscar.

Halle Berry also has one (and a Razzie too). Doesn't Ian McKellan (Magneto) have one too. And Kelsey Grammar has a shitload of Emmies. And I think Picard has a bunch of UK awards for acting this and that. Quite an award winning cast.

Did anyone see him in Extras? He is hilarious.

But yeah, uh, the next "X-Men" movie is slated to be a Wolverine spinoff. I haven't heard, if he is bringing anyone else along. A Hulk Cameo would be cool since Wolverine first appeared in the Hulk comics.

Juggernaught effects have been spotting up at places. They will do a little CG, but the boots and gloves will be stilt-lifts & extensions.
