Looks like I am having a problem with my captured video files, the audio seems to be a little behind the video or the opposite, anyway the audio and video is definitely not in synch so I am looking for something simple to help this situation, I found "Reclock" here but this looks very complicated, is there anything simple around?

Hypercube Time Stretcher and Syncview are two other programs for sync correction.

But you would be better off to find out why they are out of sync in the first place. Two main type of sync problems: One is where the sync is uniformly off throughout the video. Then you just need to add a 'offset', either plus or minus. If it's a AVI, VirtualDub can do that. The hard part is determining the offset. The second is where the audio gradually gets more out of sync the length of the video. This is usually caused by different lengths of the audio vs the video. You need to stretch or shrink the time of one or the other.

If the video is missing frames this is also a cause of sync problems. Check it for errors. VirtualDub is good for this with AVIs. Another cause can be a bad conversion from PAL<>NTSC. And if you are converting the file to MPEG, check for MP3 VBR audio. Most encoders will choke on it and cause sync problems.

If this is happening during capture, you are likely dropping frames. If the drop is in random places, you will have a difficult time fixing the sync. Better to find out why they are being dropped.

The video was recorded on my DVR Receiver [Dish Network] and then captured on my pc via my Leadtek card, my card' settings is set to record or capture in "DVD" format and shows as "Mpeg Movie" files on my hard drive.

I played back the recorded video on my Dish Receiver, it seems that this is the way the video was recorded unto the receiver in the first place. So, what can I do now to resynch those DVD video files which I have captured on my pc?
