Hi all,
I need to create a DVD that will play in an actual TV DVD player & most PCs (if possible).
Firstly I was given a copy of 2 folders:
AUDIO_TS
VIDEO_TS
There is nothing in the AUDIO_TS folder!
But in the VIDEO_TS folder there are 11 files:
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_03_0.IFO
VTS_03_1.VOB
VTS_04_0.IFO
VTS_04_1.VOB
I bought the latest copy of Nero to burn the DVD (and also I included a slideshow)
BUT, when I copy over the .VOB files to either Nero there seems to be an audio delay of about .5 seconds during playback!
I also have access to an installation of Adobe Encore, but I also get the audio delay using that!
Does anybody know what application I should use to convert these VOB files (obviously without the audio delay)?
& what format I should convert them into for the best quality when creating a DVD?
Maybe I shouldn't convert the files at all?
But I need to create a DVD that will play in a TV DVD Player & most PCs (it's ok if they need a DVD drive)
Please can someone tell me the right way to go about this...PLEASE?
I have already been advised:
"don't convert.....this is what you do...
All DVD's are built in the format you have above (file structure) after they are created.
Start Nero>select DVD>select DVD Video>you will have two folders on the left, one Audio _TS and one Video_TS...the audio will remain empty always the key folder is the video_TS....copy all your IFO, VOB, and (BUP if you have them) by dragging them over and dropping them onto the Video_TS folder....then burn."
But I also need to include a NEW slideshow into the DVD, as well as a new menu & actually create my own, with the mehod you describe how would I do that?
Much thanks,
Al
p.s. I have both Nero & Encore!
I would prefer to use Encore because teh manu editing facility is far better & Nero probably can't create the menu I require!

@ BabyFal: Firstly, welcome to the forums.
I've never used Encore, so this is a shot in the dark. But there are other (less expensive) authoring tools that do this, so I'll presume Encore can...
You may / should be able to load you VOB files into Encore and use those as the raw input for video / audio and then use Encore to create a new menu structure.
Presuming that the slideshow is in MPEG2 format (if it's not, it needs to be) - load this into Encore into a new track and this will appear as a seperate selection in the main menu from the VOBs already loaded.
Then, simply author and burn. Whether it'll address your audio delay - hard to tell...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
