Does any body out there know if the Alpine DHA-S680 DVD-changer reads 1) audio encoded cdrw 2)vcd encoded cdr/cdrw and 3) svcd encoded cdr/cdrw?

i have the alpine DVA-5205 dvd-player (single disc) but it does not read any cdr or cdrw, despite trying many various burn speeds/progs/and media cdr/cdrw.

any help would be great before i decide to drop another 8 or 9 bills.
