An mpeg file has the audio in english but it is repeated again in Turkish. Is there a way I can fix the audio to hear it in english only?

    Hello Malta!

Get TMPGEnc. It cost to use to convert to MPEG2, but you won't be doing converting, just demuxing/remuxing, so that's cool.

Assuming what you have is 1 video stream, and 2 separate audio streams, just demux all 3 streams and then remux only the video and the audio stream that you want. Done.

If, however, you have only 1 audio stream and it has Engl. on "Left" channel, and Turkish on "Right" channel (or vice-versa), then you'll have to open up the demuxed audio stream in an audio editor (Goldwave, Audacity, etc) and remove/remix to the desired channel.

Then re-encode your audio (to Mp2 or AC3) and remux with the video.

If you have the infamous "voice over" which I have discussed here:

there is nothing you can do about that. I have no idea whether Turkey uses this "technology" or not, but it was used all the time in the USSR and is unfortunately still sometimes used in Russia.

    TMPGEnc.

    [File | MPEG Tools...]

    TAB--[Simple Demultiplex]

Load you source file, it will autogenerate appropriate extensions for the demuxed streams.

BTW, "Demux" = "DeMultiplex". Just a contraction. Just like "Mux" = "Multiplex"
